BLOOD, SNAKES, & TONGUES is a look into how far one would go to get what he most desires. What would one be willing to give up in order to receive it?
Five performer/choreographers of European renown have each been working since January 09 on an individual solo and a group performance, which premièred at LINZ 2009 European Capital of Culture. Veronika Zott (AT), Ivo Dimchev (BG/NL), Robert Hayden (BE), Mala Kline (SI), Antje Pfundtner (DE) and Guido Reimitz (AT) have formed the co-production collective„OIsNotAcCompany“ specifically for this experiment on a theme of
“Impossibility of a Solo” with the aim of going beyond the prevailing production conditions in Contemporary Dance.
Ultima Vez nominated Robert Hayden and his production for a Jardin d’Europe Co-production and supported it.
Further artistic partners:

In the frame of this innovative project idea, every artist created an autonomous solo sharing a rehearsal residency in Montemor-o-Novo (PT) where they developed parallel their solo-pieces. After this period they joined to work together in Ljubljana (SI) on a group piece. In a third stage, the artists reworked their solos on the basis of experiences from the collective process and finalized their solo pieces and the group performance in Linz (AT). In the last and fourth stage Robert Hayden showed his solo Blood, Snakes & Tongues in Ljubljana.
